Day 8 One week without Twitter

Today marks 1 complete week without Twitter and it's also leap day Febuary 29. I think that my first week without Twitter was a good week but still excited for the day I get back to twitter. I have given up stuff for lent almost every year since I was a child but this is truly one of the hardest things I ever given up but that was the point of it.

The days have been pretty much routine here mostly doing housework, hanging out with family, reading or watching tv. I am also going to church on Wednessday nights as wel. I am mostly trying to improve myself as person. I have been working out every morning as usual. I have done Yoga, running and Step Aribics. I am going to go to try and get a Zumba tape soon. That will help add more verity to my workouts.

I am hooping to go out this weekend with my husband. Not sure if its actully going to happen though. wishing everyone well until my next blog

Day 5 giving up twitter for lent

Hi!I am going to write updates through my blog so that everyone could be updated on how we are doing. I am doing well but miss everybody on twitter. The hardest part of this whole thing was not being able to chat with all my friends the way I used to. Its hard but felt that I had to give up somthing for lent that was hard after the year I had last year. It has been hard since twiter been such a big part of my life. It's odd thinking that I won't be back on twitter until April. I am now realizing how much time I spent on Twitter and other internet sites that it's actully been nice having more free time.

These last few days I have been doing household chores, mostly been reading, watching TV and hanging out with family. Wednessday was weird because it was my first day off twitter. I had to delete twitter apps from my phone to keep from tweeting. We went to church that evening and got ashes marked on our foreheads. Thursday we had a small snow storm got about 3 or 4 inches of snow. Friday night was spent at the store buying gifts for my new cousin. We had a family get together yesterday becuase my cousins came down to visit with his new baby a little girl. We had a great time. I will say not worrying about getting on twitter was nice for the day. It enhanced the family get together.

I hope you enjoyed this blog entry I might post once or twice a week just to keep everybody informed on what's going on until I come back to twitter in April. Wishing all my followers a great week. I miss everyone and can't wait to chat. If I gain any new followers don't give up on hearing from me. I gave up twitter for Lent and haven't even lurked on my account to check things. I promise I will be back.

Christmas Traditions!

I will start this out by saying that Christmas has gone more smoothly. The choices we have are shaping up well. I have been really busy getting stuff ready for Christmas and trying to enjoy every moment as they come. The day after Thanksgiving was so weird because it was the first time in 10 years that I only went to one store Walmart and ordereded a lot online. I am normally doing so much more shopping that Day.

Than it was nice doing the decorating I love getting out The Nativity Set, The Christmas Village and of course the Tree and lots lights. It always puts me in such a good mood. I just love it. It always nice and reminds me to take a few minutes to think of something bigger than myself. We have lots of traditions and things that go with the Christmas season. We watch Christmas movies, cookies, decorations and Lighting the Advent candles in church Who could not feel the Christmas spirit here with so much Christmas spirit in Western Pennsylvania.

I am looking forward to this Christmas do far though a lot of work getting everything ready by the 24th. I hope you are all enjoying your Christmas season. My has been great so far a lot less stress than I thought it was going to be. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

Thanksgiving! What I am thankful for

Thanksgiving! It was a long road to get hear but after it passed I must say it shows me that god works in mysterious ways. My husband and I debated whether we should take to hour drive and visit his family. I wanted to stay here in town. I gave in and thought that it would be okay to go so that we could stay here for Christmas. Which was the original plan anyways.

I than was excited when it turned out we could spend thanksgiving here. I am thankful that I was able to spend the with my family and it was a great day. I am thankful for the time I was able to spend with them. Its never easy to balance 3 family get togethers every holiday. We have my mom family, my dads family and my husbands. I am thankful for every family member that has helped through a difficult year.

I watched the parade why finishing up cooking this morning and rest of the day was dinner and family time. I think that's the nice thing about thanksgiving for me Its about family no mater where we ended up it would have been family. I am going to see my husbands family Sunday here. It's going to be a busy day getting ready for but family is worth all the effort that we go to for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I am hopping that as we enter the season that it will be filled with all the joy of the holiday season. I want to try to make this year foucus on family as it should be and happy that everything worked out so far.

choices

hi! I am trying to make some choices sorounding Thanksgiving. I thought I had all sorted out until tonight again. This year has been rough and it's hard to explain all in one blog post so I will give the sort version.

When my husband and I got married we decided that we would trade every holiday. If we had Thanksgiving with his family we have Christmas with my family ect. This is a hard year and my husband and I have some difficult choices. This year my family had been through a lot and I feel I should stay with my family this year for Thanksgiving as well as Chirstmas although we need to spend time with his family. I understand that he needs to see his family as well. It's just a hard choice I wanted to host a Thanksgiving weekend for his family. I don't want to upset anybody involved. Complicated

I am just am trying to find the best suction for everyone involved my husband and I are just faced with the choice of his family or mine and I can't come up with a simple soulton. I hope I
That god will guide us to the right choice.

Autumn in Pennsylvainia

        Autumn in Pennsylvania
I started this blog so that I could keep all my family and friends informed when I want to write longer post than other sites like twitter and allow.  I thought that I would give a overview of what  Autumn season is like for us in Pennsylvania.  Autumn and early winter have always been my favorite seasons even though I am not a fan of snow so much except I do like some of the activities like figure skating, sledding and snow tubing but that is another topic

On Labor Day we took a trip went to the fair which is always fun in the fall.  Although over the years it gotten harder and harder for me to ride fair rides.  You still can’t beat the fun at the fair. it’s one of the few events that I look forward to going to every fall that we have lived here.  The games, rides and food are always nice. it’s a very fun Labor Day weekend tradition.

Another Tradition for fall is Halloween which is coming up in two week and it always a important time our church celebrates Halloween as part of All Saints Day on November 1st.  However we always do a lot of the non religious parts of Halloween like Candy, Costumes and Pumpkins as well. I always loved Halloween and everything that comes along with it one of my favorite holidays.

I hope you enjoyed my look into Fall we have other traditions as well but I thought that since this was only my first Blog I wanted to keep it short and simple.  Thanks for reading
